Classes
What is YogaHour and is it right for me?
YogaHour is an active class in which we do a large number of postures per class at a brisk pace – between 40 and 50! We pay a lot of attention to technique through precise instructions. We start each lesson with a Word of the Day and the music can be a bit funkier than in the other lessons ;)
YogaHour was developed by Darren Rhodes, the lessons (sequences) we teach are from the YogaHour syllabus. These have been carefully compiled by specifically certified YogaHour teachers. More about Darren and YogaHour »

Is Power Yoga the same as YogaHour?
Power Yoga is actually any yoga class that involves strength and/or a high pace. At Open Yoga you could describe Vinyasa », Power & Play » and YogaHour as Power Yoga.
Functional Yoga
At Open Yoga we work from Functional Yoga, which in short means that we recognize that everyone is different, and that every yoga posture looks different per person. We do not look for the perfect picture or what the posture “should” look like. We don’t try to force our bodies into a position; we try to shape the posture to our own body.
