About yoga teacher Julia

“Feeling supported, challenged and empowered is what yoga does make me feel and I teach yoga to make others experience that too.”

Coming from a sports gymnastics background, I first got attracted to yoga when I was sixteen in Vienna, Austria, where I am originally from. I quickly realised that the practice is going far more beyond the physical aspects and my love for yoga grew, so I decided to go on my first training.

I started to teach right after in 2010. However, I felt this longing to deepen my practice and to find a style that absolutely corresponds to me, so many other trainings and immersions in very different styles followed, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Anusara, Kundalini.

I then discovered my love for alignment and safety in Yoga, which was one of the reasons why I started to study physical therapy. Having a profound understanding of the human body and its functions provided the missing link to my own yoga practice and my teaching. So far I have a been a traveller, going with the flow, giving classes, workshops, retreats, assisting and teaching in trainings all over the place. This flow somehow magically brought me to Groningen where I am happy to teach classes where I can merge being a traveller, yoga lover and physical therapist.
